The vast majority of Britons think the government should introduce a legal ban on the wearing of balaclavas or face coverings, shows latest GLPOR survey.

Do you think the government should or should not introduce a legal ban on the wearing of balaclavas or face coverings when there is a clear intent to intimidate or prevent police from identifying someone committing a crime?

According to latest GLPOR survey 61 % of Britons think the government definitely should introduce a legal ban on the wearing of balaclavas or face coverings, compared to 3 % who think the government definitely should not introduce a legal ban on the wearing of balaclavas or face coverings, 22 % think they probably should, 5 % think they probably should not and 9 % don’t know.
