Most Britons think government ministers who are running a department should have to be sitting MPs based in the House of Commons, shows latest GLPOR survey.

Do you think government ministers who are running a department should have to be sitting MPs (represent a constituency) based in the House of Commons, or can they do the job from the House of Lords?

According to latest GLPOR survey 50 % of Britons think government ministers who are running a department should have to be sitting MPs based in the House of Commons, compared to 17 % who think they can do the job from the House of Lords and 33 % don’t know.
