According to latest GLPOR survey 44 % of Britons strongly support the creation of new ‘intermediate courts’ (covering cases involving a maximum sentence of two years as and other lower level crimes, with verdicts decided by a judge and two magistrates rather than a jury), compared to 6 % who strongly oppose, 8 % somewhat oppose, 16 % somewhat support and 26 % don’t know.
